Smarter than a toaster.
When Windows Live Messenger (MSN Messenger) in the years '00 gained popularity, also viruses started targeting the messaging platform. After yet another widespread infection between my contacts, I had the idea to combine DropMyRights with a small AutoIT script to strengthen Windows' defences. WLMSecure substitutes the MSN Messenger or Windows Live Messenger executable with itself, then launches DropMyRights under the hood and finally starts the messaging client, with a reduced sets of privileges, approximating what Windows Vista would do in a few months with its User Account Control (UAC). Thanks to BarbaInstaller that bundled it in, WLMSecure contributed to protect a few hunred users that downloaded it from Messenger Italia.
